  • May 19, 1939: Member of commissioning crew U.S.S. Anderson (DD-411)
  • February 12, 1940 (o/a): Transferred to U.S.S. Seminole (ATF-65) at New York Navy Yard as Electricians Mate 3rd class
  • March 8, 1940: Member of commissioning crew U.S.S. Seminole
  • February 16, 1941: Promoted to Electricians Mate 2nd class aboard U.S.S. Seminole
  • December 2, 1941: Departed Pearl Harbor aboard U.S.S Seminole for San Diego
  • December 12, 1941: Arrived Pearl Harbor after U.S.S. Seminole ordered to Pearl Harbor
  • December 16, 1941: Honorable Discharge due to expiration of enlistment
  • December 17, 1941: Re-enlisted aboard U.S.S. Seminole
  • February 16 1942: Promoted to Electricians Mate 1st class aboard U.S.S Seminole
  • June 4, 1942: Transferred to Pearl Harbor for future transfer to Naval Research Laboratory Bellevue, D.C.
