  1. I understand that Lt. Alan Roberts (a New Zealander) was a member of Argus 7. Lt. Roberts later joined Argus 20. He was wounded in battle in September of 1944 on Peleliu Island. I have corresponded with his son, Dugald.

  2. As far as I know, Alan is among the quick, and his son, Dugald, was the one who gave me the Argus 7 info. The reference is: http://brothersinbattle.net/html/q-s.html

    * ROBERTS, Alan, LT, Officer in Argus Unit 20 who saw action and was wounded on the airfield at Peleliu. He was seconded to the USN from New Zealand as a radar development officer and was in Argus Unit 7 and Argus Unit 20. He now lives in Christchurch New Zealand, Post 62 Kilmarnock Street, Christchurch New Zealand, phone 64 3 348 3512 ( New Zealand 3 348 3512). You may email his son who will give the messages to him and send his replies back: robertsoilco@hotmail.com

  3. Mark Fredricks also indicated Lt Roberts served in Argus 7 in an e-mail to me shortly before his passing. My father Frank Neil Evans also served with Argus 7. who Mr. Fredricks indicated he knew as well.
